January 2021 Lockdown Plan

The Government of Ontario has issued a Province-wide lockdown and as such we are not allowed to offer in person classes until January 23, 2021. Christmas Holidays will be extended one week (January 2-10) and classes will resume on January 11th via Zoom. We are hopeful that this lockdown will be lifted in time for in person classes to resume on January 23rd. As an added bonus, recreational students are invited to join any class for their age group via Zoom for these 2 weeks! This is a great opportunity to try a new discipline! Zoom Links will be sent out via email in the next week.

Oakville Dance Competition #3!

We had a great time at Dancefest in Oakville this past weekend! Way to go Team ADS!!! Here’s a rundown of the overalls earned by our dancers…

Top Mark Novice Group/Line – “On Broadway”
Top Mark Novice Duet/Trio – “Everybody Needs a Best Friend”
Top Ballet Score – Jade Wilson
Most Potential Senior Dancer – Natalie Coffa
Gillian Watters Memorial Award (for a dancer who shines onstage) – Emily Roode
Choreography Award – Charlene Dinger for ” Billie Jean”
2nd Runner Up Top Studio!

Plus numerous special awards for our dancers!

Congratulations dancers! Next we head to Deerhurst in a few weeks for our final competition of the season!! 💜

Winning Weekend!

Congratulations to the dancers and teachers of Artistic Dance Scene on a fantastic start to the Competitive Dance Season! Part of the Artistic Dance Scene competitive team participated at Dancefest on Family Day weekend…the very first competition in Artistic Dance Scene history. Their hard work and dedication earned them 1^st Runner-Up Top Scoring Studio, along with a number of other significant over-all awards. The teachers and parents of these dancers are extremely proud of their accomplishments and are looking forward to what else the competitive season will bring when the entire team competes at upcoming competitions.

Some of the significant awards from Dancefest include: 1^st Runner-Up Top Scoring Studio, Choreography Award – Kristy Baggetta, Most Potential Teen Dancer – Kiana Crummy, Top Mark Soloist, Top Lyrical Mark and Top Acro Mark – Mili Gomez, Top Overall Senior Group – the Elite Contemporary group (Lindsay Braun, Jenna Girardi, Brianna Murphy, Mili Gomez, Allison Shallcross), and 2 costume awards!

A big congratulations to all the dancers who participated, and wishing the entire Artistic Dance Scene Competitive Team the best of luck at all the competitions they will be attending over the next 3 months.

GRAND OPENING A HUGE SUCCESS!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Grand Opening celebration on Sunday August 26th! We had a great turnout and everyone had a blast! Kids had fun getting their face painted, making a hand print craft, and decorating dance bags! We were extremely excited to have the Mayor of Oakville come out to lend his support as well! We are looking forward to a fantastic year of dance ahead!

Classes are filling up so don’t miss out…register online by clicking the orange button at the top of the page! Classes start on Monday September 10, 2012! Can’t wait!
